Moisture Testing & Inspections
Prevent mould by having your property tested to ensure it is up to standard.
The problem of not having a moisture inspection is the risk there still might be hidden moisture which may not be visible to the naked eye. If this moisture is left unnoticed, it can cause mould problems which may be costly to fix. Most importantly mould can have negative health affects that can harm home and building occupants. The findings can be presented in a meaningful report.

Timber Floor Moisture Testing
We can monitor the extent of water damage on timber floors through the use of a hammer probe (see picture on left) attached to a Delmhorst moisture meter. This will give us an indication of the moisture present in the wood, and will give us an idea of the risks (cupping & buckling) involved. Moisture meter corrections are used to cater for the many different types of wood, to ensure accurate collection of data. Moisture content can also be measured more accurately through oven dry testing. This can give more accurate results, also, this test may be needed if the species of the wood is unknown. |

Dewpoint and Humidity

We can compare in closed environment versus external environment humidity and dewpoint. This can give an indication of trapped moisture in structural components. The dew point and humidity test when used with the other tests listed above can help pin point problem areas. Our Delhorst Total Check metre will let us know the:
