What to do if you have Fire Damage:

Do's

Give us a call for an initial fire damage inspection
Prevent cross contamination, by not walking in areas affected by soot or smoke particles
Wash both sides of leaves on plants within the house
Keep your hands clean, it is easy to soil other contents with dirty hands
Change the air conditioning filter, but do not turn it back on until the property has been professionally cleaned

Don'ts

Attempt to clean any surfaces until you have spoken to a New Life Restoration technician. This could make the damage worse and harder to clean.
Attempt to clean any electrical equipment or appliances
Send any clothing or garments to the dry cleaner. Improper cleaning can set the smoke odour.
Turn on any ceiling fixtures i.e. fans etc. these may be electrically damaged.
