1. Invest in Dust-Mite proof bedding covers, pillow cases etc.
2. Try to keep humidity levels low in your house. Air conditioned homes have a smaller threat of dust mites then homes without.

4. *IMPORTANT* Use a HEPA Vacuum. New Life Restoration have been using HEPA vacuums for years, generally you would expect to pay around $800 - $1000 for a decent one. We use our HEPA vacuums on site everyday, and we can attest to their effectiveness not only in collecting dust, but in collecting dust mites and their eggs.
5. *IMPORTANT* Use a good HEPA Air filter to remove airborne allergens. Our industry partners can recommend a suitable air purifier or air-conditioning system which is in line with the Sensitive Choice program (initiated by the Asthma & Respiratory Foundation New Zealand)
6. Use a certified professional to inspect and provide a suitable cleaning solution using a dust mite treatment produced by Masterblend along with the steam cleaning process which can effectively kill dust mites.

• We use a treatment product which is sensitive to allergies and has been formulated to attack dust mites. This product is effective in "denaturing" protein allergens from dust mite droppings. This treatment can be affective for up to 6 months
• Carpet and upholstery steam cleaning is done with a large Prochem Legend truck mount system (see picture).
