Warren Moir started New Life Restoration in 2002 as a professional carpet cleaning business. Warren realised there was an opportunity to serve the people of Brisbane by cleaning up homes after flooding and other disaster such as fires, vandalism, mould and crime scene cleanups. Today, New Life Restoration has an large team of professionals who are absolutely dedicated to serving our clients with excellence.

If your loss is not covered by insurance for any reason we offer free estimates and the fairest prices available. We are also fully certified through the IICRC. This means we adhere to strict restoration standards.

Who we are

Warren Moir - Owner - IICRC Cert, Cert I Mould Remediation

One of the most experienced restoration specialists in Brisbane. Warren has completed over 1000 water damage repair jobs over the last 5 years. He has completed training courses and continues to sharpen his skills in this highly specialised field. His hobbies include cruising on his motorbike and managing a community basketball team.

Lex Moir - Business Manager - B. Bus (Acc), Cert III IT, Cert I Mould Remediation, IICRC Cert

Lex manages all finanical and business development at New Life Restoration and is most likely the first person you will speak to when you call us. Lex started working with Warren in 2003 while he was still in high school and has been working with him ever since. He has a passion for business and has been the driving force behind many of the innovations and growth of New Life Restoration.

Tim Mills - Carpet & Hard Surface Cleaning Manager - IICRC Cert

Tim is a qualified water damage restoration technician and also managers all non-emergency work such as carpet, leather, tile cleaning and upholstery cleaning. He always greets his customers with a smile and always puts in the extra mile in very task set before him. Tim is continually developing his skills in the restoration of leather upholstery as well as tile and stone restoration.

Phill McGurk - Restoration Manager - IICRC Cert

Phill has worked in the industry for 10 years and was at the forefront of the restoration industry in Brisbane. Phill has also attended courses abroad in the US along with the master rug restoration course. His specialties is fire and water damage restoration and has qualifications are simply too long to list. In his spare time he plays a game of golf and he is not too bad at it either.

Hermie Moir - Project Manager - B. Eng (Hons), MIE Aust CPEng, RPEQ

Hermie is an accomplished Civil Engineer with over 25 years experience in the industry with particular expertise in hydraulics engineering including design, construction and project management of water supply and sewerage reticulation system, drainage system and water and sewage treatment. Her experience has also involved design, construction and project management of large infrastructure projects involving buildings, roads, construction camps, Aircraft Hangar, etc having completed many projects here in Australia and overseas.

Hermie was the Quality Management System Manager for a large Engineering company in Brisbane during 1998 – 2005 and had successfully updated the Company’s QMS in compliance to ISO 9001:2000 in 2003. Since 2007, she has since been responsible for the preparation of over 1,000 technical inspection reports, invoicing and documentations of property disaster’s remediation works for successful claims, beneficial to both Insurance and Clients.

Hermie along with New Life Restoration has a passion for humanitarian work and supports community development work. She was involved extensively in the emergency response in the re-development of infrastructure after the Black Saturday bushfire disaster in Victoria and also on several overseas natural disasters.
